    General Information

OLL-8 is considered a tolerant late sweet orange, which performed better than ‘Valencia' in terms of health at multiple sites over multiple years.  OLL-8 has excellent color and originated as a somaclone of a sweet orange that was described as unstable at the Orie Lee property in St. Cloud, Florida.  The cultivar is one of several OLL budlines.  So far, it appears that OLL-8 is more tolerant to HLB when compared to Hamlin 1-4-1 and Hughes Valencia selections (e.g. Valencia SPB-1-14-19).
